Ann, it is lovely to see you here! I am in awe of the photographs on your blog and they make me want to instantly jump in the car and go WEST! What did you find at the farmer’s market? Have you read Lynne Rosetto Kasper’s “How To Cook Supper”? It’s occupying me today, and I gave my family the choice of salmon roasted on new potatoes with garlic, lemon and capers, or a chicken stir fry with sugar snap peas, regular peas, asparagus and broccoli, and the stir fry won!

Pinch, my daughter reveres your blog, and you were very clever to guess who I was! Love it. Am learning about creasing and other wonders of makeup. Thank you for visiting, and you’re right about the moustaches: the packet included only 6 and Molly was definitely left out! Poor baby.

Thank you so much for your comment :o) I will be uploading some recipes this Sunday in my free time. I am going to try and take pictures of most things I cook that way everyone can see it. So nice to be able to really enjoy the city with your daughter. We are actually planning a short trip to NYC in August — my daughter’s first time there! She is busy planning our itinerary; as you can imagine, American Girl Place features heavily. I hope it cools down a bit before we go!

Great, ladies! I’m still working on some kinks with printing the recipes (just as well I haven’t invented anything new lately!), but in general I’m glad you like the site! New York WAS amazing, if hot… Red Gate Farm’s not any cooler, it seems, and MUCH wetter!

I love the new format! Although I must admit, at first I didn’t realize you have to clik the “read more” link to see the entire post, I just thought you wrote a quick update. Now I know and was happy to discover more of your adventures in CT and NYC (sounds like you were in Manhattan on some of the hottest days we have had in a long time–you could almost see the heat bouncing off the pavement and buildings).
Looking forward to some of your new summer time recipes and to hear more about life at Red Gate Farm!
PS I love Avery’s new haircut, it is adorable and sophisticated at the same time!

I’ve commented before on the old blog but just wanted to say I love the new site! The recipe index is a winner!

Also, this post is wonderful — it’s a long was to NYC from Australia, but i’ve been 3 times and loved every minute spent there — this post reminds me why.
