About Kristen
I am a happy dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States, a former art historian and gallerist, the wife of the wonderful John Curran, and the mother of Avery Curran, historian and novelist here in London. I’m a member of the Guild of Food Writers and a judge for the Great Taste Awards and the Quality Food Awards. I am also the author of five cookbooks, two for food surplus charities and now three in my personal series, “tonight at 7.30: one family’s life at the table,” “second helpings: more tonight at 7.30,” and now, excitingly, the latest instalment, “third course: always tonight at 7.30.” These books reflect my belief in the importance of good food, shared generously, and the stories that help us remember the friends and family around our table.

Loved the cake so much that I must try and replicate it. Where can I find the recipe?
Antonella
Antonella! I’ll email you too in case you don’t get comment updates. It’s in the blog recipe index under desserts, as “Fely’s Apple and Banana Cake.” I since though have added cloves and nutmeg. So glad you liked it!
I read your blog so I can get transported to a more graceful and attractive world, and you never disappoint! The fluff on that egg is just perfect.
Thank you, Work. That egg cracked (so to speak) me up. Can you imagine a feather on an egg in America!
